I’m Christof Länzlinger, an embedded software engineer and system architect with over 25 years of experience. Based in Eastern Switzerland. German native, English fluent. My roots are in electrical engineering (FH degree, Elektroniker apprenticeship), and after years of building cloud platforms and DevOps systems, I’m returning to what I started with: hardware-close development, real-time systems, and the intersection of software and electronics.

I work with C/C++, Rust, and Embedded Linux (Yocto). I design production-ready PCBs in KiCad (multi-layer, impedance-controlled), develop firmware for microcontrollers (RP2040, ESP32), and operate my own SMD assembly line including pick-and-place and reflow soldering. My projects go from schematic capture through board fabrication to validated, running systems.

Beyond engineering, I’m a guitarist and singer — performing American roots music and Irish folk with two bands. Music has been a constant in my life since my teenage years, when I first fell in love with country blues and fingerstyle guitar. It’s the same discipline that drives my engineering: understanding how things work at the deepest level, going back to the source, and building something reliable from what I find there.

Particularly interested in the intersection of music technology and embedded engineering.
